The Pastors of Grace
Dr. Alan Lee Herd, Sr.
Alan received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 16 years
old and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet. He was
ordained into the Gospel Ministry in 1991 and for the past seven years has served as our Senior Pastor.
Before being called to Grace Baptist, he served the Lord as Associate Pastor of Students & Education at Sevier Heights Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN (1996-2000); as Associate Pastor of Students at Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon, TN, (1994-1996)
and was Area Director of the Middle Tennessee Fellowship of Christian Athletes (1987-1994).
He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University where he played basketball and baseball. He received his TN Teaching Certification from M. T. S. U. He has also earned his Masters of Divinity and Doctorate of Theology.
Alan is thankful and excited about being back home where he is serving the Lord and the community where he was raised. He and his wife Lisa have been married for twenty-one years and have four children: Alan (18), John (15), Anna Grace (11), and Jacob(8).

Jim Mudd
As Pastor of Family Ministries and Discipleship, Jim oversees many aspects of family life within the body of Grace. He directs the Deacon ministry, teaches the Men's study on Sunday mornings and is involved in church wide teaching ministry each Wednesday. Jim and his wife Renee have three boys, Kevin, Caleb and Garret. |
Doug Harris
As Pastor of Children Ministries, Doug oversees the exciting ministry to children up through 6th grade at Grace. He directs the Awana Ministry, Vacation Bible School ministry and other teaching ministries for the children. Doug teaches a Sunday Adult Couples class and is involved in teaching on Wednesday evening's. He and his wife, Angie, have two sons, Justus and Landon. |

Randy Lawrence
Randy is currently serving as Pastor overseeing the Campus Ministries and areas of Financial Counseling and Stewardship. He is also involved in the Wednesday evening and Sunday morning teaching ministry. He and his wife, Marilynn, have three children at home, Kelson, Kasey, and Kaitlynn. |
